As a parent you have many opportunities to have conversations with both other people and yourself. These other people conversations are sometimes with less than fully developed individuals (teenagers, albeit their awareness is that they are as wise and the aged one to whom they are speaking). The other type of conversation are those in which the teenager has disappeared from the immediate area and you are left having what I kindly refer to as a rhetardical (a rhetorically retarded blabbering) discourse with yourself!
